Then the case should be on hold until he complies. He brought this and knew a deposition would be part of it, what a dope.

“Mr Shitnugget, the BBC wants you to…”

“Bubba wants me? I like the BBC. Slurpy slurps on that meaty bad boy.”

“No, the company that you are frivolously suing wants to …wait you still don’t know what I’m talking about do you?”

    “Yea…Yes, of course…but let’s just say I don’t.”

“FFS, dumb cunt, the British broadcasting corporation. You are suing them, remember?”

    “Mmm mmm, bubba.”

“Oh FFS. Anyways they want you to appear in court. It’ll mostly just be you sitting down and scowling trying to look tough even though you’re an old fat useless feeble cunt that can hardly walk and are about as menacing as a fluffy sock.”

“I can do that. I’m in.”

“You won’t be able to fall asleep or shit yourself.”

    “I’m out!”

Can’t tell if that is your original prose, or a transcript of a British satire sketch.

Either way, it is probably closer to reality than anyone should hope for.

I love the fact that his lawsuit is also highlighting the fact of how unfair it is for individuals to have to fight corporations which Republicans don’t give a shit about.

For Trump to sit during the deposition, but who from BBC has to attend? Hired lawyers.

Same thing for if Walmart were sued or Amazon. Would the CEO need to sit during the court proceedings as well? Nah, they are shielded. Just the person using a giant corporation.

Well, he doesn’t have to be deposed, but then he doesn’t have to continue with a frivolous lawsuit intended to attempt to intimidate foreign press.

Lots of things he could do … stop committing war crimes, stop stealing from USA citizens by front-running stocks, stop breaching the former Constitution, stop voter interference, stop using his private militia to murder people, … you get the idea.

You say it’s unfair, and it might be, but the fact is that an individual is individually suing a corporation where he’s personally claiming damages. This isn’t because of corporate personhood, it’s because it’s one person versus an organization; he’s literally going after the entire BBC apparatus, not just one dude.

I really hate that that comment is getting upvoted.

People love to hate on things a lot more than they like to understand how things actually work.

To make your point more explicit, CEOs often don’t have to sit for depositions because they legitimately aren’t the people who know the facts the cases turn on. When the CEOs are the right ones to talk to, courts don’t hesitate to make them show up.

Don’t get me wrong, I hate big corporations plenty. Don’t get me started about Meta or Microsoft. But can we please hate them for actually good reasons instead of making reasons to hate them up?

If he is too busy to allow for due process for his defendants, he is too busy to file personal lawsuits in the first place.

Something no other president has ever done to my knowledge, let alone a hundred times or whatever, for obscene laughable claims of damages.

Why do the courts keep allowing these? Something is broken in our system, these judges are too scared and or corrupt to call bullshit on bullshit cases filed, and that was true long before he was president.

Your judges are still trying to put the books in the shelf while the entire house burns around them. They’re trying to follow the laws and norms with a person that doesn’t.

Depends on where the suit is filed I believe.

It was filed in fed court in Florida, (where the fed bench is super corrupt and his bitches, half the judges they probably have blackmail on.) So no, it will not be televised I’m pretty sure, their trials aren’t, unlike many states.

ie both of his cases in S. Florida that were supposed to be randomly assigned, for the classified documents case and what was the other, both going to his handpicked lady judge he appointed in 2020 in his lame duckness. 11 current justices, the odds are 121 to 1 of getting her twice. And nobody else has even questioned it that I’ve seen. The news still likes to pretend judges are honorable and above corruption.

The sleeping is part of his dementia, their internal clock is disconnected so they stay up all night, then sleep in the day, it’s called sundowning.

If someone is talking to him or he’s talking or engaged he can stay awake, with the help of adderoll, but as soon as the subject goes to where he’s not the center of attention he will pass out.

Snuff videos of people being mauled by animals aren’t going to post themselves!

What a monster, I actually joked yesterday that he and his pals probably watched the entire video and laughed, as I am haunted just by the clip the news showed. Turns out he did, then posted the entire video, and others like it, onto social media.

Along with the ridiculous video of him starting to rape that tiger. He obviously knows nothing about cats, that is not the way to make friends with a big cat, you would be a dead man if you tried.
