Gonna read the article, but wondering what this changes for say, fallout 4?
I’ve been using steamtinkerlaunch, so that I have mod organizer 2 with mods. I basically have to launch STL, then mo2 to play my modded fallout. I’d love to be able to just launch the modded fallout directly but each time I’ve tried anything it keeps launching fallout without the mods 🙃
you can have MO2 without STL, just fyi
I tried that but kept encountering issues, steamtinkerlaunch seemed the most reliable, even if a few hoops to get going
Fair enough, ironically it was the reverse for me… Couldnt get it to work at all via STL, but that install script worked flawlessly.
But thats the wonder of modern computing… what works for someone will be a disaster for someone else.
Yeah, and I’m on bazzite
It’s funny how some stuff is almost out the box but then it didn’t work for me (I actually would of gone with MO2 directly but once STL worked I couldn’t be arsed and just wanted to get in with gaming 🤣)
don’t blame you. I’m the same way… Linux is hard, once its working, I dont care why anymore, just leave it tf alone and let it work, lol
It will make the need to set a launch option go away some of the time. Of course it’s nice, but “exciting”? All right, sure, you go be excited :D
Let people be excited. Considering what’s going on with the World, if things like these makes them excited let them be.
… which is exactly what I said :D
You did… However, you also know how you said it. You sound like a person bring joy to every room you exit.
You seem to be quite similar, spreading joy with this comment of yours :)
You have no idea how I “said it”, it’s text, I actually meant it quite sincere, if you didn’t understand it that way, that is your problem.
This is literally the onion
It’s literally GamingOnLinux.
Lmao I’m aware
Excited for this though, it’s always a little wonky trying to figure out how to mod certain things
