Fuck off with this shit. Normalizing political violence of any kind is not okay. It’s all fun and games until they start shooting at the people you support, and that’s a ratchet that tends to go only one way.

how about when elected politicians bend the knee to private interests, giving preference of basic resources like water or electricity to datacenters over their own cities? How are citizens supposed to react?

Drag the offenders into the street to be tried by televised mob justice?

Seriously, until multiple people responsible get serious consequences the situation will continue to devolve.

I think 2A folks believe 2A was made for situations like this. When government doesn’t listen to voice of the people.

There’s a difference between 2A folk really. You have the right wing which view it as a tool of power and wield it with little to no responsibility. Then the left as a tool against oppression that one should take care with. There’s far fewer left leaning attacks like this than there is right leaning.

Group in power has ratcheted up political violence in multiple staggering ways, deliberately, they use it constantly to brutalize people.

What are you even talking about? There is no peaceful baseline that exists to be maintained. They have broken the social contract entirely. Where have you been?

Uh they already have been murdering democratic politicians. Remember that guy who got beaten with a hammer? Or that couple and their dog who got shot by a dude pretending to be a cop? It has been happening already. Your point is nonexistant

Edit: sorry I’ll dignify you with an actual response that reflects my views, I shouldn’t just reaction image something like this. I think political violence is going to ramp up due to the deteriorating living conditions within the American empire and there’s nothing we can do to prevent that. The goal should be to direct it.

Decrying political violence is incredibly naive. Violence has been a political tool for thousands of years. It’s not an ideal solution 99.99% of the time, but it does achieve results. I mean hell, the American Revolution was literally political violence.
