Ok zuckerburt
Oh, I don’t disagree about violence, in fact sometimes it’s the only language people understand.

Violence is never the answer, except when it is.

5·16 hours agoIt’s very very hard to just sit out a major holiday like that. It’s a time to see family, hang out with friends.
You go to work on Monday? Then clearly you worship Luna. Right? See how stupid this comparison is.

5·16 hours agoThat’s a stupid time frame. Wouldn’t be so bad except nearly everything relies on the Internet now. Especially information.
The fuck you talking about? They already are killing civilians under this ICE bullshit. Comply or get shot in the face.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Not being able to muster the will to kill is a good trait in a murder investigation, but it's a horrible trait in a zombie apocalypse.English
2·2 hours agoI think it’s a trait easier to learn than forget. I’d rather you not be able to murder and learn to kill zombies if you’re gonna be on my team.

13·1 day agoWhen I worked at a printer, a guy came in with a USB drive of photos he wanted printed, requested we not look at them. We obliged, but something felt off. Out off 100ish files, the guy printing maybe checked 2 to make sure they did print.
This wasn’t unusual, we’d get gruesome car crash pics for court sometimes, we always respected privacy. Some of the thumbnails looked “off”, hard to describe, got the manager and had him check a few himself.
Sure enough, the closest to CSAM I’ve ever been.
There was a parked cop car next door, we went and grabbed him. Called the guy to come pick up his pictures, and busted. Had lots of fake IDs as well. One of the few times I’ve counted on the police and they came through.

Technology@lemmy.world•Someone finally did it: a high-end TV with a DisplayPort connection actually is coming this year, including 4K 180Hz supportEnglish
1·1 day agoSo if your input is HDMI from a small desktop computer, it still makes you connect to a network? If this is true, it sucks, I’ve never seen it. I always use a 3rd party media player like an Nvidia shield. My tv has never been on a network.
Thermal? You mean laser? With a fuser?

42·1 day agoDon’t buy those. TV doesn’t get to decide what gets plugged into the video in.

I keep a folder of 200 copies of goatse pics on my phone. When I get spam, I select all and reply. Usually never hear from them again.
