I mean Ahsoka and Maul’s stories continue in Rebels as a follow up from Clone Wars. I’m sure you could watch Rebels without having seen Clone Wars, but if you’re going to watch Rebels I would highly recommend Clone Wars first.

I mean Homelander’s powers would be excellent if I’m living in that universe. Lots of scary shit and people killing each other. Although if I have Homelander’s powers, living in a world with Homelander, he probably going to try and kill me… Which isn’t ideal.

In which case Soldier Boy’s powers seem like a good choice. Which I’m largely picking so I don’t get murdered by other superheroes.

I like Sliders.

I don’t think this show will work, but Big Bang Theory was successful, Young Sheldon was successful, as best I can tell George and Mandy something is successful… So maybe?

I’m sure we’ll get some extra Bazinga in the first episode or two, but if this succeeds we could get a real Sliders soft reboot.

I do agree the yearly release is a plus.

I can’t speak for Monarch (and I enjoyed The Last of Us season 2), but I think the simplicity of The Pitt is what helps keep it consistently good. (Two seasons is hard to declare a pattern, but I’m going to.)

If you only watched season 2 of The Pitt you still know what’s going on.

It also helps being a 15 episode season. Things can happen slowly and are given time to breathe. Most streaming shows are 8 to 10 episodes and sometimes it’s just go go go.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t think shows need to stretch to fill more episodes. You can tell an amazing story in 8 episodes.

The show having a planned ending is good news. Hopefully it means they have an outline of future seasons as well. I haven’t seen anything clearly stated online but it seems like at least four seasons is the plan.

Based on season 2 it seems clear to me that season 1 didn’t have a clear future ending. They knew where season 1 ended, but didn’t know what season 2 would be. Season 2 was world building, so hopefully season 3 gets us setup towards a conclusion.

Seth has been pretty honest about why he made the series, Peacock wheeled up a truck full of money. The second season was clearly a finale (although you could weasel out of it with a joke). However it’s clear with the viewership numbers, they’re pulling up another truck of money.

That isn’t to say Seth is half-assing the show. Seth writes a good sitcom.

… I just wish Seth would focus on The Orville.

Whittaker’s run lost me a few episodes in, but I’ve since gone back and watched it and it was alright. Jodie herself was great so I hope she’ll still return in future collaboration stuff I’m sure they’re get around to at some point. I thought Gatwa’s run was much better, although they completely botched the ending. I can only assume that’s because he left, but it really doesn’t work. (Not blaming him for leaving, they gave him a shit deal by not renewing.)

I binged season 1 of this show over this past December holiday and really enjoyed it. Season 2 was probably even better.

Based on all the interviews the show itself is too expensive and the second season is a clear finale, so while we won’t see anymore “live action” Ted, the plan is to continue the series (set after the films) in animation.

The cast they have is fun so I’d say stick to the past and keep everyone on board, but that’s not the plan.

Fallon is also not acceptable. I do agree it’s typically Kimmel, Colbert or Meyers and much less frequently Fallon, but he has called for him to be fired/removed.

But to recommend one that isn’t on that list, Invincible. The first episode should be enough to pull you in, and the whole first season is amazing. (And second, and third, and fourth).

So I looked it up and they definitely are doing less couch gags this past season, but it’s been that way for the last three seasons. Additionally they’ve been doing quick intros also without couch gags for the last 10+ years.

I do think it’s worth the effort and it’s one of the things that make The Simpsons unique. And they’re not 100% gone. However it hasn’t really hurt my enjoyment, so I guess it’s fine, but I would like more of them.

Even when set to 0 you’ll still see shorts, it just stops (or limits) the infinite scrolling.

Compared to season 1 & 2, it was an ok start to the season.

It’s hard to jump five years with some of these characters. A character like Cassie not changing much makes sense. Rue however seems to have changed a lot. Nate feels like a completely different character.

So a huge watch numbers for the first episode makes sense. I’ll be surprised if they can hold it. But it’s only one episode so far.

I wonder if Meloni will return to SVU.

I think mid is the best we can hope for. The only way it comes out great is it they go weird with it and tell a story like Majora’s Mask. By all accounts it looks like we’re going to get a Breath of the Wild type story, which is safe and fine but as a film isn’t anything above mid.
