I tried to watch the movie, and realized I’d had enough of Peaky Blinders. It was a good show, but it ended at a good point.

Honestly, I find that the first couple of seasons were much better than the later ones.

The “Tommy Shelby is more clever than what we’ve shown so far”-trope got a bit predictable around the 3rd season. I also found it much more interesting when they were a gang fighting for territory, who got in way over their heads by accidentally stealing from the army, rather than yet another show about powerful people scheming to come out even more on top.

I mean, it’s a good show, bordering on great, but I think the show ran longer than the initial idea/plan, and the writing shows it. I never bothered with the movie.

My exact same thoughts. The show was good when it was about the power struggles of a local gang and rising up to rule their territory. Once they started branching out and making the stakes bigger and bigger, quality dropped. At some point the dude was going into national issues. And they need to stop milking it with these spinoffs. It ran its course, let it die while it was still somewhat good.
