aren’t there basically two planning committees; america 250, the one created by congress to plan back in 2016 and freedom 250, the commercial one pushed by maga. the america 250 ones tend to be much more bipartisan and irrc abc was already airing the america 250 concerts in various states.
I’m not sure, but I’d guess that this was already in the pipeline. The network had sold advertising and scheduled it. It would be easier to just roll it out than get into a useless beef.
