The DNC’s strategy in 2016 was to explicitly and intentionally elevate the Clinton’s vacation buddy Trump at every opportunity during the primaries because they believe he was too ridiculous and wouldn’t do well in the general election.

Do not buy it, but Donna Brazile’s book “Hacks” does offer some interesting perspective on the whole situation and how all of them are directly and knowingly responsible.

Obama was a rhetorical master, but his policies failed to address inequality, laying the ground work for the rise of Trump. Hillary played dirty to win against Bernie and then came off as totally fake and disconnected, leading to Trumps victory. Biden failed to prosecute Trump and also failed to address inequality, allowing Trump to redeem his image. Kamala then tried to court moderates instead of promising meaningful change. The democrats as a whole have failed for decades now to address inequality and reign in the excesses of capitalism. Trump is a direct result of their failure.

Obama, Harris, Biden, Clinton – these people are not leftists. They are liberals. You must understand this. In Europe they would be considered right wing. They’re the ones fighting leftists, the leftists are just saying “hey maybe let’s not do literal Republican legislation like ACA and then celebrate.”

Pardon? Are you referring to my attempt at explaining that the above politicians not only failed to stop Trump, but are actually responsible for President Trump as a republican campaign or am I missing something?

Classic moron strategy: attack any attempt to hold the more reasonable political party accountable for their actions as sowing division.

They work for us, genius. If we don’t criticize their failures then they’ll never have an incentive to improve. They already want to sit around doing nothing and earn votes by “not being that guy”. If we don’t push them, their party will just continue following the Republicans lockstep into fascism.

The GOP changed because of a fucking astroturf strategy by the Koch Brothers in the form of the TEA party. The democrats are only now starting to change because of insurgency from the left. They’ll only continue to change if you keep the pressure on them. Refusing to court criticism will only cause them to fall further to the right, causing them to lose even more than they are right now.

Classic Democrat campaign; don’t prosecute the criminals because of what might come out about you/your party

            LOL.

Its hard to imagine the feels could be worse than republicans.

It seems like every other day one of them is detained on sexual assault charges.

“Excuse me, sir, do you support trans people?”
“Eh. I can’t say it’s my platform. I don’t hate them! I won’t carry out a giant platform to oppress them. But support them? I’ll be honest, I won’t go much further than basic rights.”
“You heard it here, folks! He’s not doggedly progressive! Our only choice is LITERAL HITLER!!”

Better to be self aware enough to recognize flaws and correct them, or keep the status quo and repeating the same mistakes?

What??? Google the pied piper strategy that Hilary employed during her campaign. She is the literal reason he won, lol.
