This is not an Allen key, it’s an Innensechskantschlüssel nursing it’s Innensechskantnachwuchsschlüsselset. Please stick to correct international naming conventions.
Nonspeakers will die before reaching the end of that sentence
TIL “Inbus” is not really equivalent to Innensechskant, as it refers to a company that produces allen keys and has just become synonymous with it in German, like “Tempo” has for tissues.
EDIT: Turns out it’s the same in English, Allen is a company and the more generic term is hex key.
yeah, in my house we’d call them plus screwdrivers and stanley screwdrivers. i call them slot screwdrivers (probably, i’m typing not screwing) now, but thanks for that mindfuck dad.
Shhhhhh don’t disturb them. Just admire nature in all it’s glory
That’s metal.
Why is the big key’s head so short? That looks borderline unusable.
What you see here are years of battle. The mother wrench has had to grind her horn shorter and shorter. A matriarch in her twilight years, but the call of life doesn’t stop in the wild.
Now now, we don’t body shame.
They make stubby allen keys for tight spots. I replaced a cooling fan on a Mazak cnc lathe a few weeks ago, and I’m glad I had a set of stubbies.
TIL.
They do seem to multiply rapidly.
Until you need them, then they’re nowhere to be found, or only the wrong sizes
The one in the middle seems a bit confused.
Or is that the only one NOT confused?
This looks like a shrimp lol
who magnitzes a allen key? you know how hard it is to get off that metallic dust off magnet?
Thought that said Alien and was confused about how this related to xenomorphs xD
