Is this the agreement Trump has claimed for weeks will come very soon?

How are so many people falling for this horseshit? It feels like I’m going insane.
What really makes me feel like I’m taking crazy pills is when I watch the markets - things like S&P and oil futures on the tail end of news like this.
I’m not sure if many people are already baking in the fact that he’s a dumbass and so when he’s proven a liar or has another TACO Tuesday it’s NBD, or what…
Iran knows what up they know they just gotta make it until midterms and all this madness ends.
A strait closure through November would be apocalyptic. Iran would be the least of our worries by then.
Nothing is going back to normal, ever. Not even if Trump loses and gives up power (0% chance of that IMO though). The damage is already done, it just starts to multiply faster the longer this goes.
If only there was a way to remove reliance on oil and its trade from the US and global economies. Like some kind of energy source that can be locally sourced or is so plentiful that it can be sourced from any number of other countries
Problem is, not just oil went thru Hormuz, but a good part of all the other trade goods.
While true, without a drastic market squeeze, those who have the money won’t invest it into alternative options until the cost of the status quo is higher than the alternatives for a long enough time
The fertilizer is the real issue from a blockade. A “squeeze” on food markets generally kills people.
If memory serves, people tend to get overthrowy when their “leaders” allow them to get hungry. Not saying it’s a good thing for people to starve, just saying that something will have to give if we are to do better than the status quo. The obvious downsides of this whole thing that numerous people loudly pointed out before (and still pointing it out) Trump started his stupid power grab including the straight are just coming true and at some point there stranglehold he and his ilk have on the people will break
Issue is here it will not be the leaders that matter. Not isreal, not the us. It will be parts of India and SEA with increased prices everywhere hurting the most vulnerable people in nations first and hardest. The starving people will not be overthrowing the nations involved in creating this issue, they will likely take it out on governments that did nothing but rely on international trade.
Do you remember those calculators we had as kids? They didn’t have replaceable batteries, they just had a little gray box at the top that converted light from the room you were in into energy to run the calculator. It would be so cool if we could do something like that at scale. Unfortunately I think that was as far as they ever took that technology.
It might be overly optimistic of me but I genuinely hope this pushes more solar, wind, and nuclear power investments globally. Cuba just kinda proved a rapid conversion from oil based power is possible. We just need a global effort into sustainable and efficient batteries that can be made with local resources to match
Their best chance at making something happen is right now. Closing the strait (and associated gas prices) is killing Republicans. After midterms they lose that power because whatever happens already happened.
If republicans get massacred at the midterms the US is withdrawing completely from Iran the only reason they are still there is because congress is allowing it.
Who told you Congress is allowing this? These people don’t care what congress wants.
Congress told us themselves with their votes, by shooting down every attempt to stop this war or explicitly limit lord diaper’s powers to continue it.
What votes?
The votes against the war powers resolutions that limit diapers’ power to keep the war going
Haven’t seen any votes
I guess we will find out won’t we
Will it? I think that’s when the madness will really pick up steam!
Wonder how many people this pointless war has killed, between combat, economic degradation, and shipping disruptions. I’d wager tens of thousands
how many people have profited from stock market manipulations based on Trunk’s “unpredictability” ?
Way to go, American voters (or non-voters).
We don’t know that the vote counts that were reported had ANYTHING to do with the votes that were cast.
The great negotiator just keep saying no and you both don’t get what you want.
