        The affected people largely did not; it’s their white neighbors who do that so that they can force this kind of living situation onto people who have a darker skin than they do.

      This sounds bad but it’s not an uncommon problem with septic systems in flood prone areas.

        Yes, but at least a septic system is underground and functioning most of the time. They’re living with it literally just pumped outdoors. It’s basically an automated chamber pot that’s getting dumped outside.
