Former Attorney General Pam Bondi is set to testify before Congress about the Epstein files on May 29 after she failed to appear for a previously scheduled deposition.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee confirmed the appearance, an arrangement made after discussions with Bondi’s personal attorney.
The news came as Democrats on the committee introduced a resolution to hold Bondi in contempt.

Couldn’t prosecutors offer immunity from prosecution though? While she could still plead the 5th, it would mean she’s actively interested in shielding the criminals instead of just protecting herself.
That’s why she got the job in the first place
Sure, but she’s been kicked to the curb. What does she have to gain by continuing to protect the criminals?
A guaranteed pardon that evaporates if she steps out of line.
The tinfoil hat part of my brain says not finding herself inexplicably falling out of a window or otherwise having an “accident”.
She’d be betting that she gets a presidential pardon for keeping her mouth shut or that the following administration does nothing about the cover up. The latter will almost certainly not be the case. And the former depends on Trump’s fickle mood and how much use you are to him. If he thinks she’s useless or she does anything, even minor, to piss him off, she’s left without protection. If she made a deal for immunity instead, though, it would be better for her.
That would incriminate her. Not others
And as long as she pleads the fifth, she won’t be compelled to testify against herself. Without that testimony, you can’t evaluate whether it would or could implicate her.
