I still listen to FM radio and, if you’ll please pardon me tooting my own horn, I also help make some of it as part of a long-running weekly talk show. (I’ve been off the air for the past couple weeks, but I’m back next week.)

I was a listener to the station and the program for a long time before I joined up. I still listen to radio often, and the medium continues to mean a great deal to me.

Piracy = popularity. The big studios take torrent popularity as a metric these days. Even if you’re not paying for the show, everyone seeding and downloading that torrent is being used as a sign by the industry that they should keep giving Rowling money which she, in turn, uses to harm people.

Pirating her content is still making her rich, while also granting her a deeper foothold in your own media environment, heart, and mind. You deserve better, and you can do better.

IMDb star ratings are like newspaper horoscopes. They can be fun to look at for a little laugh, but you can pretty much ignore them entirely and live a very good life.

This is true, but for something subject to as much focused, repetitive force as a working saw handle I’d still steer well clear.

I wouldn’t trust FDM-printed plastic to hold up structurally under actual tool use, though. It’s very likely to split and shear along the print lines.
