Are they married with kids? I’ve always wondered if Nielsen ever tracks what single people watch, or college kids, or unmarried gay people. Doesn’t seem like it.

I have never met anyone who is a member of the “American Trends Panel”. (Or a Nielsen family for that matter). But somehow, these mysterious people with 2.5 kids and a dog represent “US Americans”.*

*As a pageant contestant once described us.

I haven’t found that hot temperatures reduce the range of my EV, other than turning on the air conditioning. After all, most modern EVs have temperature regulation systems for the batteries to prevent these kinds of problems. I lose about 10 to 20 miles off my range by running the AC. I’m sure something similar happens in a gas powered vehicle, it’s just that you don’t have a guess-o-meter on the dashboard in a gas car showing you the immediate impact.

The nice thing about EVs, is you can pre-cool or preheat the cabin while they are plugged into the wall if you’re worried about it. In colder climates you can also pre-heat the battery while the car is still plugged in.

Sanders is currently obsessed with this idea that AI will take everyone’s jobs. It’s all he posts about on social media.

I think it’s unfortunate that he is so laser focused on this, because AI doesn’t really work as well as it’s being hyped. And it’s turning out to be more expensive than using human beings in a lot of contexts. A lot of businesses are using it as a cover story for layoffs, so they don’t have to blame their own poor decisions and leaderships. “Oh, it wasn’t my fault profits were down, it was the AI!” But instead of digging deeper, he’s just buying into and repeating the hype.

The photo of Nadella is just the icing on the cake. Driving customers away from Microsoft with his horrible decisions, ruining products. But stock still goes up, and Nadella gets a raise.

I wish someone would reboot “Travelers”.

Sounds like a script for ”The Wedding Singer 2” but they couldn’t get Adam Sandler to sign on.

I gave this show a try, but it was too reminiscent of Lost. Same problems with unanswered questions going on too long. And I’ve already been through that. They even gave one of the Lost cast members a lead role.

Is this the last season, or will it keep going?

They should have followed all new people in season 2. The story of the existing team had already been told.

I would love a modern Cavett-style chat show. I’d want the host to get out from behind the desk though, like he did in later years. The “round table” format suited his style so much better.

The original “Politically Incorrect“ was kind of like this, before it moved to cable and Bill Maher became an insufferable twat.

I doubt it. At best, Dem and wildcard liberal will get same amount of votes. Republican and wildcard conservative will get same amount of votes.
