Makes sense. All the Bernie bros were probably just lusting after a septuagenerian grandfather and that’s why he was so well liked.
What truly stupid things to support. In a world filled with celebrities getting/lying about cosmetic procedures many people can never afford, people generally being more aware of the halo effect, attractiveness being much more attainable for the wealthy, and most importantly, a large part of the voter base that was stolen from Dems being young men who have been lead to believe they are simply genetically disadvantaged and unable to have a good life because of it, we should select our elected officials based off looks. Amazing. Love this. This is the political take we deserve. Our country is over and it is now beyond satire.

I don’t necessarily support this, but I feel like this at least adds a barrier to a single person setting up hundreds of bot accounts easily. Similar to locking your doors, it just adds friction to those that would otherwise not put a lot of effort in. People can still break into your house/run a bot farm, but this makes it just that much more difficult. Again, I don’t really support doing this, and it’s definitely not being done for user’s benefit, but it will likely have some impact on botting.

I’ve said it before, and I’m happy to repeat it now, I really wish I lived in the country you’re talking about, where people cared more about other people than themselves, but we really don’t. We can probably cherry pick stats all day (lies, damn lies, statistics), but 54% of Biden->Someone not Harris voters said her Gaza policy made no difference. 10% said it’d make them less likely. That’s 64% of that uncaptured demographic that chose someone other than her for a completely unrelated reason. Other top 3 issues: 24% - The economy 12% - Medicare and Social Security 11% - Immigration and border security
Seems like those are people who want less of dem policies, not more of them. Also, the above is just voters who voted for not Kamala. There were plenty of people who stayed home because they simply didn’t like her (black/woman/maybe Israel policy) and didn’t care enough to vote for someone else.
To be clear, anyone blaming leftists is just whining. Kamala failed to do the thing she was supposed to (win) and they see that as other people’s fault and not hers. At the end of the day she either got the votes or she didn’t. If they think there’s nothing she could’ve said/done to get the leftist vote, then they don’t have to blame her. In reality, she could’ve EARNED those votes and she didn’t. Maybe it would’ve cost her other votes. I don’t know for sure, but either way it was her decision and she chose not to.

Also, pretty sure the laugh thing is a meme. They used the sarcasm indicator, so I’m pretty sure they’re being glib.

When insulting POWs didn’t even cause a dip in his numbers I knew we were done for. If anything is more American than apple pie, it’s slobbering all over the troops, and the Rs didn’t even blink. What a sad reflection of our actual ideals as a nation.

None of the data suggests that leftists had any significant impact on her loss.

Guy work in IT and spent 100k to pay devs to make an app so people can talk to his tuned ChatGPT? I hope anyone who has hired him checks his work. That does not bode well for his work product.
Another case from the article:
“I still use AI, but very carefully,” he says. “I’ve written in some core rules that cannot be overwritten. It now monitors drift and pays attention to overexcitement. There are no more philosophical discussions. It’s just: ‘I want to make a lasagne, give me a recipe.’ The AI has actually stopped me several times from spiralling. It will say: ‘This has activated my core rule set and this conversation must stop.’
What’s weird to me is they now recognize AI will lie to you but somehow think they can prompt it not to? Your rules can be “overwritten” because they do not exist to ChatGPT. It does not know what words mean.

Damn. Couldn’t be me. Maybe I’m a bad contributor (yes) but I will definitely pop in to fix something that’s bugging me and then never contribute again. I’m not adding new features though, so maybe my contributions are just never significant enough for me to feel any ownership of. I think it’s a lot to expect people to continue to contribute just because they did so once. That would potentially make it less likely people contribute when they can. I’m certainly not going to address an open ticket if it makes me responsible for rewriting the feature when people decide to port or refactor the whole project two years later.
This person is just posting slop. I’m not sure if trolling/farming, but any interaction will just feed their weird delusions or bait. Just ignore would be my suggestion.
