At least four out of five criteria are documented. And while I think Russia/Ukraine and Isreal/Palestine are not comparable in a lot of aspects, what Russia is trying to achieve still does look like an attempt at genocide.
The Genocide Convention recognizes five distinct genocidal acts:

killing members of the group,

causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group,

deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part,

imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group, and

forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Thousands of children have been deported to the Russian Federation or transferred to occupied areas in Ukraine by Russian authorities, according to the Commission. It has so far verified the deportation or transfer of over 1,200 children from five regions in Ukraine.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, an estimated 20,000 Ukrainian childrenhave been unlawfully deported and forcibly transferred to Russia and the temporarily occupied territories.

Relocating children? Only allow the Russian language in occupied areas? Deny that Ukrainians have their own culture and are/should be part of the Motherlandtm? Looks at least like an attempt at genocide to me.
2·6 days agoSadly (in „white“ countries) that’s not true at all. And not because there’s something wrong with them. There’s something wrong with the way they are treated and perceived.
241·9 days agoSince you don’t seem to understand what I‘m talking about: FASCIST LOVE DRACONIC PUNISHMENTS BECAUSE IT GETS A SOCIETY USED TO VIOLENCE AND BRUTALITY. They really love this because people slowly switch from: „Killing is wrong“ to „Killing a person for crime xy is probably beneficial to our society“ and then to: „If this person is killed, they probably did something to deserve this.“ (Which is something you can read everytime someone suffers from police violence.)
Don’t get me wrong: sexual encounters with people not able to (or below the age of) consent. Should have consequences, but those consequences can’t be violent. A functioning justice system should prevent (further) harm, not execute your personal want for revenge.
Kill the pedophiles is a typical fascist talking point. With „pedophiles“ of cause they mean everyone who’s differs from their concept of gender and sexuality.

That does not make sense. Vegans teaming up with vegetarians may make a bit more sense, but even in this is not plausible because vegetarians are ok with killing animals, they are just not ok with eating them.
You mean like vegans teaming up with butchers to fight against the meat-industry?
Are Putin and Palestine on the same side? Is Putins attack on Ukraine helping the suffering people of Gaza and the Westbank?
I just said: ‘Putin attempts genocide in Ukraine.’ I didn’t call to allocate resources somewhere or ask to let Israel have it‘s way but stop Russia.
