Huh, I will be pleasantly surprised if the same governments whose companies are developing this tech and itching to use it in Ukraine and Palestine support its ban.
It is governments which sign the Geneva convention, and the “judges, game theory experts, activists, NGO reps, ethics philosophers, etc” they allow/amplify are ultimately further expressions of those governments.
We come back to “everything is political”, which is 100x more true for technocratic entities that claim to just be calling balls and strikes.

Ukraine already admitted to using indiscriminate killer drones in battle, which is a war crime, but no-one seems to care much.
