PUT FUCKING WEALTH CAPS IN PLACE ALREADY
Nobody should be able to have a net-worth of over 10 million dollars. Hell, make it less than that even. Anything earned over that goes 100% to taxes until you’re below that number again. Of course below 10 million, have a bunch of tax brackets where anything over 5 million should already be taxed at 95% or something like that.
Yeah, the numbers are pulled out of my ass, and plain wrong, but the basic idea isn’t. Nobody has some human right or something to be insanely rich and powerful. If we have seen anything then it’s that being insanely rich almost inevitably leads to bad behavior, just like being insanely poor does.
Putting a simple rule, a cap on wealth, would solve this and so much more. This would add a huge tax revenue for all governments world wide. Governments now have the resources to implement free healthcare, free education, universal basic income… Nobody is crazy rich, and nobody can become crazy rich anymore so now we no longer have to deal with daily headlines about some asshole destroying some ecosystem just so he can earn a few more bucks. We no longer have to deal with poverty and homelessness. We can focus humanity on making the best for everybody, not just a lucky few. We could immediately get rid of the crazy fucks like peter thiel and his batshit insane, but highly dangerous ideas. Hell, it would stop fascism as we no longer allow psychopaths to gather and gobble up power in an uncontrolled fashion.
Its also the ethical thing to do. You can’t excuse somebody bathing in money whilst over half the world lives in poverty and can barely scrape by.
Want a private jew? Good luck affording one now as you also still want to own a home and some other things.
