Reminds me of how Zuck spent $110M buying all the homes around the one he wanted, to maintain HIS privacy. And then he had the city change zoning codes so he could stitch all 11 houses he bought into a single private compound.

I know I’m going out on a limb here. But I betcha almost nobody reading this thread can drop $110M buying out a whole neighborhood to get privacy, and then spend a couple years of heavy equipment and crew time to rebuild it.

Extreme example? Yah. But lots of smaller examples too, down here at normal ppl levels of money. You want privacy? It’ll cost. Privacy becomes a luxury for the well off.

What was your purpose in including the subclause about Obama? It wasn’t necessary to the observation, as far as I can tell.

Considering that some of the biggest companies hacking smartphones are in Israel and were founded by ex-Israeli Military, I’m sure he’s very well informed about the remote activation and use of smartphones as eavesdropping devices.

Also he probably doesn’t want other to have on them the kind of blackmail material Israel has been using against European and American politicians to make them do whatever is best for Israel even against the wishes of their own Public Opinion.

So, if John Evil, CEO of Evil is covering his iPhone cameras, uh… should us peasants do so as well? I’ve occasionally noticed my mic or camera indicator activate on iOS without me using them and I’m very particular about apps and permissions… I’ve chocked it up to being a bug from my older OS version…

(No, I don’t want to use an iPhone. I’m poor, it was cheap with a phone plan.)

What really sends me is that in the bottom images the orange cover is tailored to the lenses and keeps the flash exposed, instead of just taping over the whole thing with one big ass rectangle

It’s just a normal sticker, so it would work on pretty much anything. I think of it more as a way to donate to a group that I like, as well as good advertising for them.
