The stereotype of white men going to an Asian or east Europe country to get a wife holds strong through all levels of wealth and political power. No one who has any idea of who they are would ever chose them, and they’d never marry a black woman. Even having an Asian one is a bit much for many of them.

The asymmetries are weird, too. Like you don’t see many Asian men partnered with Black women, or Arab women with white men.
