Just sat through a disheartening video from my former drum-teachers at Drumeo, about how AI is inevitable and that musicians that don’t use AI will be left behind, comparing it to when tractors came to farming… wtf?
I don’t care, I refuse to use AI in my music, I make music with machines already I don’t need them making melodies for me or whole transitions or anything. Music making is a human expression, a human experience, a fun thing to do and ease your mind, throwing an LLM in the mix just throws all of that off. I suppose if you are doing commercial music it is inevitable, but if you are an artist releasing your own music there’s really no excuse besides laziness
