lulz. A bunch of places have ‘limits’ on your driving even with lights on. There’s a place near me that the limit on the ambulance’s speed is less than the actual speed limit. It’s quite funny to get passed with lights on, let me tell you.
We were allowed to go 5 over. So naturally, we did 10-15 over
Now they have a bloody camera on us. “AI” tracks things like speed (and ‘knows’ the appropriate limit), cell phone usage, ‘attention wandering’ as in your eyes not being focused forward for a period of time, drowsiness, etc.
I wonder how that plays into HIPAA compliance. A camera with a view into the patient compartment could have some interesting legal consqequences.
Supposedly the video portion is fine because of some specifics of how PII is worded/used/defined. It is, at the very least, such a small window into the rear compartment that combined with the angle you can’t see much. Also supposedly, it’s why the internal camera doesn’t record audio (which none of us believe but the videos they share never have audio).
This works in LHS countries too.
