It’s a laugh track, it’s literally just directly telling people “you’re having fun!”, and a bunch of us sadly responding with “gosh that guy sure is fun”. This man’s entire career.

Makes me miss Alex Trebek on Jeopardy. I like Ken Jennings and he’s a good host but he sort of has that always smily, happy style like is required today in media. Television in the US is about the become (even more of) an absolute wasteland due to the continuing consolidation of media control, I would hope that some of these hosts/anchors/actors/artists would push back some seeing as how they are the ones people want to see.
