It’s a damn good show overall.

The way the cast works off of each other makes it greater than the sum of its parts. Great actors, and solid writing mean that’s a big synergy. Since the camera work and lighting is also way better than most shows (for my tastes anyway), that synergy gets piped in with little or no static to interfere.
