Everywhere I’ve read about this, commenters have been jumping to conclusions and abig part of it IMO is that they had to put the phrase"black boy" in the subject heading, instead of just boy, when it was a black guy who called the cops in the first place. So everybody automatically assumed that there was some sort of racist component to it.
One post I saw went into information on one of the league officials or such, with a picture and everything, and saying that he followed a lot of MAGA accounts on Facebook and the like. Now in hindsight that seems like coincidence. I mean, fuck that guy in general, but this doesn’t seem to be on him at this point.
And all the outlets I have seen reporting on this story have pointed out that the kid was black. Now if that’s simply carrying over from the original post, who knows. But everybody’s stirring this pot.
