I still love Window Maker.
Try OpenBSD. It’s not Linux, but its RAM requirements are perfect.
As if Linux’s reputation wasn’t bad enough already.
FWIW, you could install CachyOS’s kernel on Gentoo. It exists as a package.

Arch users can’t Gentoo, else they would Gentoo.
Random blokes at The Verge do not have the same use cases as anyone else. “Works for me” is never the same thing as “works for you”. Linux doesn’t even have a good vector graphics editor. (No, Inkscape is not good.)
Fahrenheit is still saner than Celsius for outside temperatures.
Real persons do not use Linux.
Window Maker is still better.
