cats@lemmy.world•Her favorite cherry toy was out of stock for years, now it's back and I bought a lifetime supply!
8·1 month agoExcellent search suggestion, that material looks identical to the cherry exterior! The inside has a plastic ball with a little bead that rattles and the stem is just a glued on bit of string.
I do wonder what it is about this toy that makes it the one for her. She’ll come when she hears the rattle, but still chases crushed cherries that no longer make noise, and I don’t think the stem matters too much, so it must be that crinoline material in a ball shape. I might buy some and see if I could make new toys she’d like. Thank you!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a company secret you can share now that you no longer work there?
0·3 years agoIt’s pretty depressing, but the fact that soil and groundwater are almost certainly contaminated anywhere that humans have touched. I’ve seen all kinds of places from gas stations, to dry cleaners, to mines, to fire stations, to military bases, to schools, to hydroelectric plants, the list could go on, and every last one of them had poison in the ground.

Definitely has point coloration in the coat, but Siamese cats have more angular faces and lanky bodies, though I’m not sure how much that shows in kittens. Wish you’d kept the sweet lil guy!
