Yeah, both of those things happen to me on a regular basis. If I’m using my phone, it might only last a few hours into the day.

And after Ida. No power for a month in some places. People were selling cooked food on the streets for cash. I’m sure if you were enterprising, you could buy/sell groceries the same way.
So true. My non-technical friend asked about more private ways to communicate after things started to go bad where we live, and she had no problems understanding SimpleX. The actual user experience is a lot like FB Messenger, IMO.
Yeah. I just leave pages that use this crap, but it’s steadily becoming a larger and larger % of the sites I try to visit each day.

I agree. This is what I do, too.

How much of your life do you want to spend around people who make you unhappy? Generally, you can’t change other people, so if you’re unhappy enough to be posting about your relationship online for random people to comment on, you should at least consider cutting your losses and freeing yourself to find relationships that you actively enjoy being part of.

Used to, because of a sleep issue. Very normal stuff, despite being full sensory. Not really alarming.
They have the ability to think about an issue from different perspectives.

My dentist started using this. Not the same service, but automatic AI-based visit recording, transcription & record-keeping. She’s experienced with a difficult issue I have, so I’m staying with her for now but this is definitely a minus.

As someone who didn’t know anything about either a short time ago, I found cron easier to learn and use. Systemd timers look more visually clean, but the way cron works is more simple and straightforward.

It feels harder, where I live now. It feels like I’m getting so much older so quickly.

Same here. So many websites are now virtually unusable. It doesn’t seem to happen with Chinese sites, though.

When my grandma was old enough to marry, her father took her to his friend’s house and introduced her. The friend said, “I’ve got two boys upstairs. Go pick out the one you want.” So she went up and talked to both of his sons, and the one she liked best became my grandfather.
She said she was fine with this, but I would’ve been climbing out the bathroom window. 😂
When I was younger and single, I had co-workers or random older people I met trying to fix me up with their brother/son/whoever. I think that’s pretty common. But I ended up getting together with a guy I met online (organically, not through a dating service.)

Possessed doll display area.
I’m not comfortable with even mild compromise.
