I guess everyone is unaccountable when doing what a billionaire demands.

The concept described here is what us homebuilders call “make up air.” In a tight envelope, when you need to exhaust air, you have to forcibly introduce fresh air to make up the difference. Otherwise your envelope (home) will sit in a vacuum and air won’t move anywhere.
Usually, there is only one window in a bathroom. If you have a fan, turn it on and open the window and it should disappate quickly. If you only have the window and no fan, punch a hole through the drywall to the next room, preferably close to the baseboard for optimal airflow. I assume you are at your “special friend’s house” and trying to hook up. Wait a few minutes and it should clear. Hope this helps!

Put as much money into your index funds and don’t stop until October 13th, 2026. Then convert it all to cash.

Penned by Karin Larsen, a sports reporter. I wonder if this is in her neighborhood and she likes to go fast.
But honestly, a good temporary strategy. These barriers are a stop-gap measure to slow down cars, but they aren’t good urban planning. What they do well is disrupt the norm and look ugly. It gets people on board for when a good plan comes along. I’ve seen it happen in my city over and over again. What I don’t know is if the city planners are fully aware of the strategy.

My dad loved this movie and watched it constantly during his mental decline. It was a great comfort to him, always made him cry.

I appreciate not being told when to laugh, but to laugh when I think something is funny. I’m 10 minutes into the show and I have only chuckled, but this is a genius ploy, well written and perfectly executed. All things considered, no notes.
As with all comedy, it exists within context. So far, this is solid.
Edit: now that they are huffing helium, I am genuinely laughing.
Should be “shonetines I git shad.”

I’m missing context on this one. I walk away from Lemmy for ONE day and…

I am outside of the loop and I appreciate your break-down. I am all for paying for useful services, but I have such a backlog of media that I need to watch, I don’t benefit from Trakt. I like a paid business model, though
We should all question a “free” app that lets us spend 1 or 2 or 8 hours a day on their platform. We’ve gotten greedy, thinking that everything should be personal data or advertiser supported. It stinks that Trakt is cutting features while raising prices, all for a pretty simple service, but I think subscription services that protect your privacy are worth funding.
Memes are educational.
"Among the most prominent allegations are that Boebert conducted a four-year “romantic and sexual relationship” with a senior female staffer, named as Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, then paid her $200,000 when Ratzlaff broke off the affair and threatened to file an ethics complaint of her own.
Additionally, Wheeler alleges, Boebert had a sexual relationships around the same time with Raven Finegan, a congressional employee and the congresswoman’s district chief of staff, and Jeffrey Small, who was her chief of staff from 2021 to 2025."
