couldn’t valve just ban the accounts that are using a serial that doesn’t match any of their purchase order?

weird debate because most people will never buy anything off Epic store just due to how big a knob they are let alone being anti consumer. devs can move if they don’t want sales i guess. imo epic is great to iron out bugs as a form of early access and taking Tim’s money, before it gets in the hands of users.

every time Tim criticizes valve i wonder if he realizes he’s pushing more customers away? the biggest pc gaming group loves what valve does and this dope thinks insulting their intelligence will sell people on epic store? if anything it just confirms Epic’s policies are anti-consumer

matrix with slack bridge?

second this, proton slr is great but it’s also bleeding edge, there were a lot of regressions for specific games in proton 11. generally i try to use 11 if it works but set it to proton 10 GE if it fails as a fallback

but have you thought about convincing your friends to ignore that to make Epic more money?

it’s great after customizing, using meta + vim bindings works great for me to move between windows and workspace as if everything is laid out on a grid. meta + opt + vim bindings to move windows around also seems nice.

unlocked, cec, full desktop, form factor, silent, plug and play, built in wireless for controllers and a base station for VR.
if you have disposable income and have those requirements i think it makes sense, especially since the market can remain irrational as long as it wants.
i really hope it sells out as it shows there’s demand for support on Linux and that game developers should at least target minimum specs to the steam machine which is a boon to the whole community

so when something breaks both devs, the one who made the previous change and the person pushing new, have to work together to solve the issue? no PRs or is everything a fork? do you revert and rebase every change?

i don’t think they have the talent anymore since switching to JavaScript as a systems language and reliance on AI to boot. they’re cooked unless they make major changes.
if it’s a hobby project you might check out zig, it has a lot of safety like rust but much simpler. just be aware major changes can happen as it’s not a 1.0.0 release yet but from my experience their change guide is really thoughtful and lists any breaking changes and how to upgrade.

back to the future got it pretty right

5g is rebranded 4g during the rollout for 4g most providers couldn’t hit the bandwidth targets so they branded things 4g LTE or 4g+ to denote it wasn’t actual 4g. when they caught up and could actually support 4g they realized everyone thought lte or + were better because of course more things = better so they just changed it to 5g
just give me my verification cans already

sounds like you could use a clapper
Steam already stated they’re limiting to 1 per household.
the only part they can’t tell is gifting. i think they could fix that by requiring the account that would have to claim it during purchase. otherwise SN + account + location would pretty much end scalping. and if they actually enforced the one household rule more children would actually get their games…
