I think you’re basically talking a modern lemmings or warios woods, and I would totally play it. That AAA rating is so clever haha.

I don’t think I’ve ever encountered this last issue but a lot of NES games had doors you couldn’t go into but they looked exactly like those you could enter. So infuriating.

3·3 days agoIt would be cool if there was a cart like that which let me actually play the game on the screen. Not very practical, but cool.
I thought they’re talking about the historical accuracy of the meme, not so much how we should all spell it the British way.

Everything is like a Hodge Podge of fixes just to make it work, so if anyone asks me about the inner workings of everything, I wouldn’t be able to answer like 75% of it. I’m still learning.

41·4 days agoI don’t consider myself to be an advanced PC user, but even I was able to get Arch Linux to run with some googling and tinkering as my first dive into Linux. I really think you should make the switch if you don’t have any work restrictions. I dualboot still, just in case, but I can’t remember the last time I needed to use Windows.
Like you and the others say, if you have limited time gaming or don’t play AAA on launch day, that’s just one more reason not to use Windows! Good luck!

Technology@lemmy.world•Reddit banned Paul McCartney over phone-free concert photos post in their subredditEnglish
1·8 days agoIt’s funny how a lot of the complaints I’m reading here are about how Reddit is unfriendly toward left-leaning people but all the right wing people complain about how Reddit is a cesspool of liberal propaganda.
It just goes to show that the platform plays both sides just to promote hate and anger.
I visited after I got banned and the default posts that show up without logging in (therefore uncurated) were all so irritating that I had to assume they were all ragebait.
I read the whole thing and I wasn’t 100% what the point was beyond the title. I still feel like responding with “it always has been.”
I guess it’s that they like to give new websites she finds the benefit of the doubt for the off chance that she might gain new knowledge about a subject, but:
-
people perpetuate misinformation to make a quick buck off as revenue
-
LLMs make the problem even worse
-
they feel powerless to do anything about it
None of which is an excitingly new revelation if you have been paying attention for the last decade or so.
But as someone looking for a copy of Phantasy Star, I found out there’s a reprint of it on Genesis thanks to this blog, so that’s good! Now to see if they’re telling the truth…
