The regular channels are “cable” which changed from coax to utp and a provider box … Oh wait am I confusing then streambox from my telecom provider with the LG onboard stuff …

I use NextDNS on my other devices but not on the LG untill now and we use it only for regular tv channels and a android mediabox via hdmi …

Does it help if I put Nextdns on all of them or apps like Netguard? And then block stuff?

For a moment, from the screenshot, I thougth it was a Wheel Of Time spinoff kind of thing.

Loved FolderPlay but eventually switched to VLC on Android for same reasons you stated. For mp3 its even better then VLC on the desktop.

I do the mp3 ID3 tagging chores tho …

Google only respects corporate boundaries for specific things (like email and cloud storage of the org doing the mdm).

Your use case has a lot, outside of that, meaning all consumer services they track anyway.

If its without an account they keep a profile without account info, but every data point they get adds to it nonetheless.

In NL we did research of MDM kids accounts for schools. Turns out all those things not school related they keep tracking.

Only other downside I could think if is when my catch all cant be used to send a mail or reply.

So I do use them a lot for suppliers en services, but for registering initially and password reset. But I can’t use it to contact support by mail.

Mostly I rely on forms or self service portals when I need it as a customer.
