Put an indicator light on the glasses with a sensor to make sure it’s on from the nose bridge.
This is that part that’s missing, it’s more obvious when someone is holding their phone to record you. Phone’s should probably have an indicator too…

The cookie dough they use in cookie dough flavored things is safe to eat, mainly the raw egg is not there.
There’s no way they would purposely sell us anything with immediate health risk that can be easily pinned on them.
Also not all sushi is raw fish, some is cooked. Improperly handled raw fish can be very dangerous, so only eat it at places you trust (I.e maybe not the buffet or grocery sushi).

I think if we require artist name in the title, people can easily filter it out.
Do not remove artist credit, people have the right to know who made the art. For the question of “can you separate art from the artist”, everyone is going to have a different stance on it, and even then it may vary depending on the severity of the artist’s action. Removing the artist credit removes people’s autonomy in that regard.
It also opens the door for people to claim “Billy made one off hand joke 17 years ago, so now we must crop out all their credit because it’s an advertisement”.
Consistent rules will be best. Making exceptions and attempting to maintain a blacklist gets messy to manage and can get out of hand.

Yeah a lot of frozen vegetables are fine, especially when cooked in a casserole or something, but not on their own.
I know it’s not practical to avoid all processed stuff, not that I want to, and a lot of it is healthy enough. It’s just all the stuff with reasonable amounts of salt/sugar/etc and still tastes good tends to cost more. (even then you have to be careful, a lot the stuff marketed as healthier really isn’t. Exhibit A; Diet Soda)
It seems protein is the latest trend, a lot of stuff is highlighting how much protein they have in them. Protein is great, but I’ll get that from the regular sources not a dense candy bar or meat stick. Gosh even some milks (that aren’t specifically protein drinks) are highlighting protein content now lol.

Yeah, I don’t care for the labels, I just try to pay attention to ingredents.

Everyone’s essentials will differ, for me it its things like canned veggies, jarred sauce, frozen veggies, canned soup - basically easy meals or sides to easily make dinner after work.
Yes, most of that is healthier than a TV dinner, but fresh is still better (and tastier).
I could learn to can or pickle my own, but that’s not with out its own difficulties.

Sure the staples are pretty easy, but a head of iceburg is a dollar while all the stuff with some nutritional value costs $3 for less per pound.
Going to the store with produce that isn’t already half dead, so it will last the whole week costs more.
Going the store multiple times a week for fresh produce costs more in gas and time (and “extra” buying). I end up with lots of fresh meals at the start of the week, but towards the end its all frozen or canned vegetables, which is a lot of salt.
Buying the juice, or any snack, not full of high-fructose corn syrup costs more.
Fresh bakery bread costs $5+, while a loafs cost $1-2. A loaf of wheat or multi-grain bread costs around $3.
It all adds up, and yes I am lazy.

Healthy eating.
It’s so much more expensive and effort than the mainstream stuff. Its easy enough to cut back on the junk foods, but the cutting out the processed “essentials” is harder.

Personally I think it should be tagged nsfw.
I like the metric I came up with the other day.
If you’d get arrested for showing it to a 16yr old, tag it. If you’d shoot your “creepy uncle” for showing it to your 16yr old kid, tag it.
It’s not that I think a 16yr old isn’t mature enough for this type of material, but it’s a lot different if a much older person shares it with them. When in doubt - tag it.
Same here… But in my defense the guy that runs the corner store near me has one, and Apu from Simpsons comes to mind too (the two have completely different accect btw

The original “The Princess Bride” by S. Morgenstern

I’d be in favor of using PG-13 as the baseline, not PG. A lot of the stuff here I probably wouldn’t show a 7 year old. Lemmy isn’t exactly a children’s site anyway.
NSFW tags can be used for anything you wouldn’t show a minor, but keep in mind this isn’t a porn community - adult topics and suggestive content are okay, but actual porn is not (unless we do want to allow it???).
Going with the PEGI ratings for sexual content might be a bit more helpful. (There’s a bit of interpretation leeway because this is written for games not comic strips)
This [sex] content descriptor can accompany a PEGI 12 rating if the game includes sexual posturing or innuendo, a PEGI 16 rating if there is erotic nudity or sexual intercourse without visible genitals, or a PEGI 18 rating if there is explicit sexual activity in the game. Depictions of nudity in a non-sexual context do not require a specific age rating, and this descriptor would not be necessary. Wikipedia
If I’m reading this correctly, PEGI 12 is if it subtly references sex in someway, or if a character is in a “sexy” pose; a “let’s Netflix and chill” or “is that pickle in your pocket” type of thing.
PEGI 16 is the sex scene on TV that your parents always seem to be watching when you walk in. It doesn’t show main parts of the act, but you know what they’re doing.
PEGI 18 is just porn.
From those descriptions, I suggest allowing PEGI 12 with no tagging necessary, PEGI 16 must be tagged, and PEGI 18 is not allowed.
I’d get rid of the last sentence of the wiki description too to make it simple - if there’s nudity tag it as nsfw.
Or even simpler; If you’d get arrested for showing it to a 16yr old, tag it. If you’d shoot your “creepy uncle” for showing it to your 16yr old kid, tag it.
I’d apply similar rules for violence, pegi 12 is fine, pegi 16 tag it, and pegi 18 is guro/NSFL and not allowed.

It looks like the asterisks in the spoiler title are messing with the spoilers.

Don’t be fooled by them! It’s delicious! It’s mayo but a bit more of a “spicy” flavor and some sugar. (Not like a hot pepper spice, just a mild spice? idk it’s hard to describe) great for sandwiches, horrible substitute for pretty much anything else that uses real mayo.
Whipped cream is probably the worst way to describe it, that’s like describing blue cheese as ice cream. Very different things.
Should just be a hint button that triggers the voice line.

That’s what mom calls them when they’re in trouble.

So the DOA? :D
I’d be more surprised if the government didn’t fine they guy reporting or require a lawyer to go through layers of bureaucratic nonsense designed to make it so hard to do anything the average person won’t bother.

Yeah, they are huge bottles sold individually…great for pouring a reasonable amount for many people.
Not as great for 1 person drinking it, unless you drink way too much, it will go flat before you can finish it. Never seen a 1.5l bottle before searching it now, that looks like something some one could easily carry with them to have soda all day long!

Soda bottles in the us shows both ounces and milititers.
Large bottles are sold as “2 liter soda”…that’s it.
Smaller bottles are in ounces (with the metric label just a requirement I guess - no one I know here talks about buying a 500ml soda)
Everything else is ounces or gallons, I’m sure someone will ‘umm actually’ me…but generally nothing else is metric; like milk and juice.
Well that script was ran on enough other computers, so the magic algorithm decided if everyone else ran it, it must be fine.
