Alien 1 vs Alien 2 is such an interesting split. The first is so full of dread and so claustrophobic. The second is like an action horror movie. The vision of Ridley Scott and James Cameron couldn’t be more different but both are great movies.

I think the mainstream opinion is that the two towers is the best. I’m curious, why do you favor the fellowship?
Profits will spike when supply is restricted because the cost to produce the product doesn’t increase. The consumer suffers because the same demand is competing for less supply. So yeah, shit sucks.

I remember being a kid and looking up at a mostly still and dark sky. Fast forward to when I started hiking and camping much more in my thirties. I’m creeped out by the LEO satellites whipping around. I dont know exactly why. It feels like something changed that shouldn’t have. A place that we used to stare into the limitless beyond is now barred or trespassed by something so terrestrial.

Yeah the major powers have anti satellite weapons. Shits fucked

There’s a movie about that. It’s pretty good
I recently vibed a project just to get a sense of where things are. One interesting take away was that everything the LLM wrote was basically a proof of concept, an example, a snippet.
I think this is probably a result of scraping stack overflow and other help sites. I doubt that this will really be resolved. The leak of Claude code shows that the industry leaders best approach to code quality and consistency is to beg the model to do the right thing.

In order for a t100 to get in some guy in the Philippines has to take over and remote control it to open the gate
I’m here for the rambles.
I think you have an interesting perspective. The shire kind of grounds the world as a reader / viewer. It’s the place you want to get back to.
