With how bad AI art is, I kind of wish that artists would be ok letting their work stand on its own. Like does an album need a cover or an article graphics if it’s just the equivalent of visual static. It’s not really elevating the piece any, it’s just there to fill a void. Make it ok to have stand alone pieces again!

I literally don’t have the skills to pay my mortgage and hustle in self employment. The pivot would be more painful than the commute honestly, and have a much lower chance of success. Ugh I hate my commute. I feel like I was forced into it since I bought my home with the understanding that I would have a job with company A. They then sold my whole division right before my 2 year contract was up, and I had to scramble for a new job. I am grateful that I found a job with similar pay before my unemployment benefits ran out, but fuck I mourn the loss of my ability to WFH most days of the week. Some days it’s hard not to be bitter about what could have been if company A had their shit together!!!

For me it was lack of structure, so what got me going was actually scheduling a class. Then the obligation would kick in because I made the commitment. Even better if it’s a regularly occurring class because then people will start to recognize you and take note if you missed. Which re-enforces the cycle!
