Failed experiment, anyway let’s move on
I like to think that most of these maga types know what they are saying are illogical most of the time, but I may be giving them too much credit
Would be nice if we started blocking these big US tech companies who don’t pay their share, their value is questionable
EU alternatives should be regulated better and I am sure they would pop up almost immediately
I don’t have that either
It’s a spectrum, but I seem to be on the see nothing in my mind end

I’ll always remember going to a rise against concert and scalpers outside were saying “tickets for rise against the machine”, they have no idea what they are selling

Gaymers?, what did you censor
Well I got aphantasia, so I’ll stick with tv and films thanks

America is a broken country that rewards the rich few and has no empathy for the rest
This is just one symptom of that

My current role gave me an ultra wide and a second monitor mounted vertically
Almost immediately turned off the second monitor, and the ultrawide I maintain my terminal in a more standard widescreen area
I really hate distractions outside my field of view

UK, a few chains tried it here but I imagine it was enough to drive people away so you don’t see it much anymore

I went to the US in 2024 and it was outrageous, every card terminal asked for it
I was under the impression it was just for sit down meals and not stuff like Starbucks or non food related things

I guess the point is that if you don’t have the disc then they can take it away from you
The way I see it is this has enabled companies to upgrade and rerelease games and keep them operational on newer hardware

They don’t know that yet, it’s like 4 months away from release

Would you rather it be sold as a piece of cardboard with a scratch off reveal code?
I have workmates who desperately try and make friends with people at work, I need to socialise with different people outside work

You would do the same in the same position

The entry level models have been the best value computers for a while
I had a thread ripper pro at work and it get beaten by a 5 year old m1 Mac mini for most use cases

Would it be better if it was on a piece of cardboard with the code behind a scratch off section?

The ultimate edition seems to be digital only, the box with a code is the same price as standard
It’s just for retailers who wish to sell it in store
Apple has spent 5 years selling products with neural cores in them, they are well placed to add functionality that runs on device
They were also smart enough to realise a few years back that the tech was half baked and held of until now
