Running Grapheneos right? Running Grapheneos right?
Laundry day must be a bitch

Every time I see another article about Slopify I’m only more glad I spun up a Navidrome server last year. I love being able to support the artists I care about more directly by buying their music and actually owning it.
I did the math the other day, at the per stream payout rate Slopify gives their artists (~$.005), you would have to stream a song(s) 3,000 times to equal a single $15 album purchase. If you go with an average 3 minute song that’s ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY HOURS. Fuckin scam.
Didn’t find no cow, found a lot of coc tho
Glad I’m not the only one who noticed lol
If you go with a subsonic server like navidrome, you could pair that with something like Symfonium (paid, and only available on google play unfortunately). That’s what I do currently, until something better comes along (Tempus is starting to look nice!)
I do this as well lol, although on my phone I go one whimsical step further and offline cache the music from my navidrome server.

Installing Grapheneos has been fantastic for the last several months since I made the jump. It quite literally took longer for the phone to update Google’s Android out of the box than for me to rip that shit out and install Grapheneos lol.
I’ll say the best thing about it is the flexibility to your level of security needs. You can completely run it exactly as you would a normal Android phone, or you could go balls to the wall and have separate user accounts for different services and only use non-google play store apps. I personally chose not to have separate user accounts because while they will show notifications, it doesn’t allow (at least not that I could figure out) you to show the content of said notifications. It was immediately annoying as I don’t want to sign into another account just to find out it was a notification I didn’t care about.

Commiewealth was right there!
Sounds like the perfect villain that’s been following them the whole time.
I just use a WireGuard VPN. Makes it so much more simpler. At this point I don’t think I’ll ever expose anything to the public internet, seems like too much of a headache.
