If you go by release date then that can’t be true considering the prequels (even though I love them). TFA was also so bland compared to the rest. The Last Jedi was the only decent one since the original trilogy imo.

The Steam Deck released in 2022… 4 years ago. It’s now a bit underpowered, especially when compared to the Switch 2 and newer Windows handhelds. Even ARM based handhelds are catching up. I think next year would be the perfect time for a steam deck 2.

Just having good gyro support on pc with this is a game changer. The trackpads are awesome too. Definitely worth the money if you’re someone who will use those features. Otherwise there are better priced normal controllers. I wish it had haptic triggers like the dualsense but they’d probably go unused in 99% of games so fair enough.

Yeah the price increase on the AYN sucks, but I brought them up as examples of great devices that run PC emulation quite well in a very small form factor (at least compared to PC handhelds).

Also I 100% agree that ARM is the future here, and that Valve is probably testing the waters with Steam Frame. It all fits in just way too perfectly. That being said, while I would hope to be wrong, I could imagine them completely moving to ARM and just not release a true Steam Deck successor at some point based on x86. Valve is kinda making history with not making direct successors with the Valve Index -> Steam Frame.

Here’s the thing: Game Native allows for this sort of emulation of PC games on those handhelds. Yes, it works for like 10 minutes on a normal phone with heavier titles, but these handhelds are easily half the size of a steam deck while giving comparable performance sometimes already on these devices. That’s what the conversation is really about I feel. I don’t think anyone would even want to to play cyberpunk on their phone.

Considering that this is partially thanks to Valve’s support of the FEX translation layer (x86 to ARM) I think it’s inevitably the next step after testing the waters with the Steam Frame.

Uhm look at the Ayn Thor and Odin 3. It’s pretty much on par in a way smaller form factor. ARM is a game changer.

I haven’t had this happen to me with European airlines I think. Is there maybe some law forcing them to keep steady prices? From what I’ve seen (though I don’t fly that often) prices don’t really fluctuate and just rise with more demand, with some last minute tickets going for pennies.

It does! I will admit it sucks to find good recipes that use it but you can just cook anything you want in it as long as it normally takes a long period of time. Think sauces, beans, lentils, meats, etc. Things that normally take hours can take 30 minutes for example. Rice is also great and easy to make in it if you don’t have a rice cooker.

So basically if a recipe calls for you to cook something for a long time - throw it in a pressure cooker! Reddit is a great source for info and your pressure cooker should have come with a manual on how long every ingredient should take to make.

I very often make a quick meal with bulgur and some veggies for example. Also try Indian cooking, a lot of it uses pressure cookers!

Pressure Cooker. I have one from Fissler and it’s my go to for so many dishes that normally would take ages to cook.

It’s also so convenient to throw dried lentils in there and have them ready in half the time lol.
