  • Which is difficult due to the many barriers put in by the two major parties to getting on the ballot. Many third parties spend a lot of their funds just trying to get on the ballot and defending against law suits put out by major party candidates. Leaves very little for campaigning or advertisement, relying almost solely on word of mouth and volunteers. And of course each state runs their own elections, so there is never a one size fits all solution. Plus, the rules are constantly changing and generally becoming more difficult.

  • First I knock on doors for the candidates I believe in, I’m probably one of the most participatory voters in my local area. I do the calls, I join in protests where I can, and am an active member of my community. If I wasn’t I certainly wouldn’t be pissed about the whole fucking thing. FFS, I’ve quite literally helped organize my neighborhood in case ICE shows up.

I get that you don’t like losing, so you imagine arguments you can fight against, but don’t you find it a bit pathetic you need to do that? Stick to what I said, not what imaginary me said in your head, please. Don’t assume shit about my life you haven’t even bothered asking me about, it just pisses me off, and makes you look like an idiot.

  • You know, that might be fair. It’s never been a problem for me, but I do know my wife’s skin doesn’t like it when she showers too much. (Something she brought up, when I was making jokes about how Lemmings hate showers due to the downvotes).

Guess I just repeated what worked for me as a fact without really thinking it through, my bad lol. I appreciate you sourcing your argument, though. +1.

    Edit: forgot some words.

  • Well considering people are being locked up in concentration camps, shot in the street in broad daylight, and the feckless opposition party constantly rolls over. Probably the gun, since I’ve already organized with my neighbors in case ICE shows up.

Glad I could clear that up for you though.

Edit: Oh and that’s a false dilemma since voting is also backed by guns, they’re just used by a third party so we can abstract away the inherent violence that allows a government to be a government.
