I think the biggest problem is relying on “the norms”.

I didn’t think J6 would happen, but it did. If more congressional republicans would’ve went along with the fake electors, then yes maybe. Some republicans may want him gone, but he still maintains a tight grip on their party. Kevin Mccarthy went to swear fealty to their dear leader only days after. The current one defers all powers to him.

Still scary with how far/close it got. Also the willingess of some of those that participated.
