For AI: They have limited funds and AI creates a lot of unmanaged Abandoned-on-arrival code. This gives then grounds to remove the abandoned slop code bases.
Really not hard to understand why they would restrict it.

2·12 days agoIn the video they explained that the TV seemed like it was trying to find and connect to any connection available (some routers allow auto-connection for easy integration). This would probably be a huge issue in an apartment building or townhome situation.
I’m not entirely sure if they mentioned that was with Wifi enabled or disabled… But given that, even with the microphone input disabled, it records you from “other microphones” available, seemingly hidden, or through other devices connected to the TV… I assume they have a Wifi chip that is always enabled and searching.
If it’s direct play, this makes sense, but it sounds like maybe they are transcoding video
Same. I bought the Flirc USB + Skip 1s remote and they work okay… Their configuration apps are rough around the edges. The biggest hurdle I’ve had, though, is apps not supporting remote/keyboard input very well.

2·13 days agoDoes Fred TV work with a remote? Jellyfin was great but I couldn’t find an IPTV service that worked well with a remote. Fred TVs interface is also not great compared to something like Tivimate
You should include the printer and slicer you use in your post.
