Games@lemmy.world•Does the engine a game uses factor into your decision to buy it or not?English
22·1 day agoIf a games is made in UE5 I will definitely double check if the game can even run on low end hardware. And even if a game can run they often look like dogshit on low settings. Like I tried Exit 8 and it ran like shit on my low end PC. And that is a game that just takes place in a hallway.

Don’t tell the Dutch that.
They actually got their clit rubbed by the doctor. Then some doctor got tired of fingering many women and invented the vibrator.

What is the flat earth theory on orbits. How do they explain satellites staying up? Or do they think satellites are fake?

Technology@lemmy.world•Someone finally did it: a high-end TV with a DisplayPort connection actually is coming this year, including 4K 180Hz supportEnglish
7·4 days agoCouple of years ago I bought an LG 50” TV as a monitor. Since it was cheaper then buying a large monitor. I also like the large size, since my eyesight has gone to shit. Also I have a deep desk so I can just push the TV to the edge of my desk and have all the desk space available and still have a screen that fills my view. I only wish it was curved since 50” is just a bit too large.
Or Jellied Eel
The English highborn eat French cuisine though. Hence why in English cattle meat is called beef, pig meat pork and sheep’s meat mutton.

Bro I live in the Netherlands one of the densest countries in the world, with great pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure and good public transportation. The average work commute here is still 40km per day that’s 200km a week so 120 miles per week. And the majority of people use the car to commute. Gas is €2.34/L and Diesel is €2.58/L that’s €8.84/gallon or $10.2/gallon for petrol and €9.57/gallon or $11/gallon for diesel.
So people all over the world are screwed even if they travel less. And even if you don’t use a car guess what will happen to food prices and public transportation ticket prices when diesel is as expensive as it is now.
LOL and of course you are a German. Nazi supporting Nazi i guess. Y’all love to be on the wrong side of history again.
I never put plastic in the dishwasher even if it says it’s dishwasher safe. Like so many tupperware I own have warped over time even if it says it’s safe in the dishwasher and microwave. Also I like to reduce my micro plastic intake.

The ffmpeg team was mad at Google when they reported a bug that was found and reported automatically with an AI. Google reported the bug without providing a fix and also gave an ultimatum. Google would publicize the bug report after 60 days. That’s what pissed off the ffmpeg devs. Not to mention that it was a very obscure bug, like ffmpeg didn’t decode a video file from a 90’s videogame correctly.
Anthropic on the other hand found a bug and provided a fix. So why would they be mad if the fix is properly written and fixes the bug ?
