HDDs and SSDs can just drop dead at any time. It’s not a good idea to have no backup if you only have 1 drive in your pc.
I wouldn’t go raid, but I’d be using a cloud backup or an external drive backup.
Oh hi there person who I’ve upset by expressing my opinion who is now wanting to go back through my post history to find something to use against me! If you’re reading this, it’s because you’ve already lost the argument :)

Most communities on here are basically dead tbf.

Word of warning - I wouldn’t be running anything with a battery in it as a home server. If you can disable battery charging that would be much better, or removing the battery would be best - but don’t make this a long term thing.

Using the pokemon you caught in pokemon go and previous switch games is pretty cool.

Lemmy started off over moderated and has only gotten worse. Moderation here is honestly worse than Reddit already, since we can see the ridiculous comment removals and bans and their reasons.

Why? Why would you remove a post that some people deem “low effort”? People can just ignore the posts if they think it’s low effort.
More censorship and gate keeping has never been an good option.

It’s to make it easier for the end user to do what they want to. People are best at communicating by talking and writing, so having the ability to get things done using natural language is kinda the holy grail.
Being able to summarise/edit/create documents/images/videos, automate tasks, change settings, etc by a simple conversation is an end user dream.
Agreed.
