1. Tesla FSD is not “AI” like we know it today. If this same thing was used 5 years ago, it would be called “machine learning” because it uses Deep Learning.
2. The driver was in autopilot, not FSD, so you can’t even say “machine learning is AI” because the rules are human written. Sure the vision still uses the deep learning stack, but the rest is just fancy lane keeping and cruise control.
3. New facts came out that the driver had The accelerator presses all the way down. You can do this until you reach 90 MPH on autopilot and there’s even a warning on the screen saying “autopilot will not brake” that was ignored by the driver.

Apple has “GenMoji” and I find that a good use for it. It’s using emojis that they designed for the model, generating other emojis that you can only use on their devices (or sending an image). I use it to make new funny reaction emojis for me and my friends. I cannot use any art for other types of reactions the same way that emojis work (like reacting with an emoji for an image).

It looks cool, but smartphones, good or bad, fill the void of riding the bus, waiting 5 mins for your next meeting, waiting for your partner to get ready in “5 more minutes”. I’m ADHD and this helps me just unwind.

The Mississippi one is crazy. I voted in that ballot initiative when I lived there. It was for medical marijuana with very lax laws. But then the mayor of the richest county in the state took it to court. The ballot initiative even got the required votes in all the old districts too, planning for this, but the Supreme Court of MS is as dumb as a bag of rocks. Did the state repeal the voter ID law or the new flag that were both passed the same way? Hell no!

This dev was trying to sell his own game on his own site. A single player game. No steam keys. Just a download. And got threatened by valve to stop or be removed from steam. Illegal since that’s NOT in the contract he signed.

As someone who likes working with higher level languages, I never understood the pass by reference or even referencing different pointers. It never stuck out to me as useful in what I want software to do. It’s too close to hardware.

I hate the kiosks BECAUSE they removed a key feature that the POS can do: substitution at no cost. If you order a McGriddle, sausage egg and cheese, at the POS, you say “substitute” whole egg (the white and yolk instead of the folded egg), and it’s the same price. At the kiosk, at least 4 years ago when I last used one, when you want to do this, you need to add the whole egg for a cost, then remove the folded egg at no credit.

At chick fil a, when you remove ingredients on a sandwich, that amount actually gets removed from the cost of the sandwich. Fuck chick fil a’s profit spending, but their ordering system is the best for customers.

My cat FINALLY figured out that I don’t want her on my chest to sleep. She jumps up in the middle of the night and nestles into my arm and purrs herself to sleep. It’s so cute. And I’m allergic to her. It’s worth it.
