I like your take and agree, but I’ll say you can assess the rationale and experiences that lead some people to think like they do and understand them… and still conclude that it’s stupid. Note I say that “it’s “ stupid referring to the reasoning, not necessarily the person. I know people who are smart enough or competent in some ways, but they arrive at really stupid conclusions and do or choose stupid things.

Ha good one, fuck AI. ( well I use a little…)
Yeah I was going to look for and share, that’s literally the silencer for a blender the OP is looking for. Only places that are cheaper and don’t have the budget or concern to care about the noise go without.

4·23 days agoAgreed, I live in China and have to use a vpn all the time, sometimes even two , so does get their guard up and try to filter me hard, even places where I’m a paid user which is extra annoying. I have to circumvent these filters constantly.

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•EY (aka Ernst & Young), one of the Big Four professional services firms, published a cybersecurity report which is a "collage of vibe citations, misattributions, fake statistics, and AI-written text".English

Wow that’s awesome will share with my kid thank you
Cool cool, have a great day out there in this crazy world :-)
Ok, I’m not sure if you’re agreeing with me or being sarcastic, ha.
You got some good points, people too often assume the worst and jump to defensiveness.
I’m also AI reluctant but this is freaking gold. AI can just be a tool like any other. (apart from the waste of resources, this thing might have burned up a whole tree)
I don’t like that Neil Grass guy at all.

A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•Dating has gotten so expensive that nearly half of U.S. singles say it’s no longer worth it, as the average night out approaches $200English
116·1 month agoYeah but on the first dates you gotta try to impress a little right, don’t want to come off as too poor or cheap (depending on circumstances, 2 students in exact same situation is different than older working adults, for example)
Same idea overall, just different platform. Podcasts in my case

I just gotta say, this is the widest gaps I’ve ever seen in non-downvoted and downvoted takes ever in Lemmy. Everyone is either nuanced about AI or 100% against it. For better or worse, I think all of us will have to use it one way or another. In cybersecurity, because the attackers use it and gain speed and exponential capability with it, we have no choice but to use it also (at least as a vulnerability scanning tool). I think we’ll all find ourselves in such a situation, where either our competitors or other workers use it and we have to use it as a tool to keep up. The horse has already left the barn on this one.
