What’s your stance on Mullvad’s founder donating significantly to a far right political party in Sweden? Feels contradictory to why I use a VPN in the first place.

Thank you for sharing this.
I’ve always been less drawn to those questions. I’ve come to accept that there’s probably not some singular being pulling levers in some hidden dimension. But I have always been greatly interested in our humanity and what makes us tick. And how can we use that information to lead better lives? Maybe there’s some overlap with your journey in that.
For me, this is what mostly everything boils down to:
While we as humans are capable of conceiving the past and future, those don’t actually exist in any real practical sense. All that really exists is the here and now. And that’s where you must live.
Humans are wired to do hard things. Don’t look for a life of ease, look for one of challenge and discomfort (however you define that).
Things take as long as they take. You can rush things, but that doesn’t result in fewer things to do.
I think focusing on those things will get us about as close as we can to whatever “enlightenment” would be.

Thanks for this link, I didn’t know this existed. Going to spend some time to see if there’s something I can switch to easily.

Maybe less direct, but I was a big Joe Robinet fan for a while. After he lost his brother and his dirt bike accident, it felt like he was going off the deep end a bit. Felt sorry but also felt uncomfortable watching.
I loved lurking /r/peloton and /r/triathlon, but there doesn’t seem to be those communities in here yet.
This is very disappointing
I’m worried about the taxes due on that $7 billion. With tax brackets and that math, I’d probably come out ahead with the $19. This is why I’ve declined every raise I’ve been offered, don’t want to slip into that next tax rate.
