I believe you had good intentions. And maybe I brought my own baggage to this thread.

Anyway, I said what I did because it can be frustrating for folks with disabilities to be told things like “I believe in you”. These well-intentioned responses indicate that you don’t believe their disability is real.

I didn’t interpret their comment to mean that their nose is not as sensitive as the electronic sensor, I read it as “my nose isn’t very sensitive”.

I was told in Catholic school that if you don’t believe in transubstantiation, you’re not Catholic. They made it very clear that you’re supposed to believe the Eucharist is literally flesh, and the wine is literally blood. That was the day I realized I was definitely not Catholic.

I imagine it has more to do with money density, e.g. dollars per cubic inch. If you sold gold bars, making them huge limits the amount that someone can sneak out under their trenchcoat.

This is one of the few shows I’ve rage-quit.

I felt like the writers didn’t respect their viewers. They’ve concocted this bullshit pretzel of a universe full of mysterious phenomena, but there’s no possible coherent explanation that will tie it all together.

It feels like they’re just writing one episode at a time until they get cancelled, but they have no real plan.

I always wonder whether that’s because it’s doing less… like some graphics feature that isn’t supported might just no-op in Wine.

Say that street A feeds into street B. Street A flows freely and is necessary for a different bus route. Street B is a bottleneck, both cars and buses pass through slowly.

If you remove a car lane from street B, the cars might back up into street A and impede both cars and buses that previously flowed freely through street A.

It’s a contrived example, but honestly I can think of a few places like this near me.
