And there is already a fork called Tenacity after the controversy around telemetry back in 2021. I could imagine they would also be unlikely to implement any changes involving AI
We need to boost the signal on Tenacity over Audacity in all the various spaces.
My only problem with Tenacity is that it’s outdated and doesn’t have the new effects (compressor and limiter) that I use regularly.
I heard about Tenacity, but while it says it supports macOS, it doesn’t actually run. If they get that sorted, I’ll switch us. My wife uses Audacity more than I do, and she hates AI.
I don’t mind AI for some things, but it has no place in the arts.
RogueAmoeba makes decent software for audio editing on Mac.
