While there were prior issues and lots of missed opportunity to create better relationship with Russia (Minsk, the defense initiative in the middle East against terrorism, etc. You probably have more examples than me ), none of theses justify to invade a country and steal lands for a second time and sending 1.5M of your comrades to the meatgrinder.
