I think you’re confused about my intentions with posts like this. Look at my post history, look how many upvotes the majority get. Every so often, it’s fun to post something I know is gonna cause arguments and be an absolute nightmare comment section. Shit is fun, funny and entertaining. Anyone on Lemmy isn’t going to see a photo like this, in shitpost especially, and just take it in as brand new information. Everyone has an opinion already one way or the other.
Oh Im definitely not saying youre not having fun. Im sure youre having fun. Im just saying youre spreading propaganda/misinformation while doing so. Many people have fun at the expense of others and those are being assholes during the process as well, just like you are. Youre pretending like bullshit like this has no effect at all, which is just you being ignorant. Its like starting a fire in the woods for fun and saying “oh come on there are so many trees left this is nothing”.
That posts like these are getting lots of upvotes is proof enough that most dont critically examine them. Especially if your opinion was already leaning in that direction, like people who dont like Che to begin with, they wont question your meme, they say “yeah fuck him”, upvote, move on. Im not saying people take memes like this as pure fact and reference them in their university papers or whatever, but they still have influence and especially in the world we live in right now, having to deal with shit like this on top is just unnecessary.
